It is followed by the Corolla Sedan with 4,63 meters long, 1,78 meters wide and 1,43 meters high with a wheelbase of 2,7 meters. The largest of all is the family, the Corolla Touring Sports with 4,65 meters of lake, 1,79 meters wide and 1,43 meters high for a wheelbase of 2,7 meters.

Additionally there is the Corolla TREK. A specific camperized preparation that takes the family format as a point of reference, although it does not alter the dimensions, only the distance from the ground. Regarding load capacity, the volume of the trunks also fluctuates. 361 liters of minimum capacity for the compact, 471 liters for the sedan and 598 liters for the Touring Sports. All figures increase when folding down the second row of seats.

Mechanical range and gearboxes of the Toyota Corolla

The Toyota Corolla arrives in Spain with two different hybrid engines. In other markets it is also available with a petrol engine, but not here. The two engines marketed in Spain are self-recharging hybrids, that is, not plug-in, as is usual to find in the Japanese firm. Thanks to the mid-2022 update, the mechanical range improves in performance, keeping consumption in similar figures.

The access version is the 1.8 Hybrid with 140 horses (18 more than the previous version). The most performant model of the house is the 2.0 Hybrid 196 horsepower (8 more than the previous model). In both cases, the increase in performance translates into an improvement in performance, particularly in acceleration and recovery. The entire range now has a lithium-ion battery with an electrical capacity of around two kilometers. This represents a drastic change with respect to the previous model since the nickel hydride battery used in the higher performance models disappears from the range.

Despite being different models, from the inside they are all the same. The differences between them are minimal and almost negligible. Like every new car sold in Europe, the Toyota Corolla has passed through the hands of Euro NCAP to check your safety. After the tests the compact has received the five stars. All the bodies have obtained the same assessment. By sections, the results have been: 95 out of 100 in adult passenger protection, 84 out of 100 in child passenger protection, 86 out of 100 in pedestrian vulnerability and 77 out of 100 in driving assistants.
