Patriotism is something that is deeply rooted in the automotive sector. The United Kingdom and its brands are more united than ever, even though their current owners are no longer properly English. In Spain we all look towards Seat although for many years it stopped being Hispanic. Italy is also very aware of Fiat and its subsidiaries and the last example to cite is France with Renault and the now extinct PSA. Hence initiatives like this new Renault 5.

As you know the Renault 5 Prototype has returned as an electric version of the mythical 5. And when there is very little left for its commercial debut, the gala house surprises us with a new special version. It is about the Rolland-Garros that you can see in these photos and that you will already imagine what its reason for being is. Indeed, this year 2023 the gala brand is one of the official sponsors of one of the most important sporting events in all of France: the Rolland-Garros…

Thus Renault has created the 5 Rolland-Garros that you can see in these photos. It doesn't really change much beyond various frills, but it's a step up in getting the world out there. The first thing to note is the new satin white metallic shade who wears his bodywork or the Crosses of Saint-André. This is the symbol that identifies the stadium where Rolland-Garros is held and is located on the air intakes on the sides.

In addition, on the decorative molding is the logo of the tournament illuminated in LED, replacing the one of 5. And finally, window surrounds are trimmed with satin chrome and the edges in anodized blue. Even so, the brand announces that we are facing a mere conceptual version that will give way, later, to the presentation of the final production model. In fact, at the sports event it will not be possible to test it because it will not be available for it...

Next to the 5 Prototype will be the Renault 4EVER Trophy and the new Austral and Espace E-Tech…

RENAULT 4EVER TROPHY - ROLAND GARROS REVEAL

As expected the Renault 5 Prototype Rolland-Garros will not be alone in this sporting event of great worldwide repercussion. The gala house will display all "its charms" with other prototypes that will hit the market. In this case 4EVER Trophy will accompany you in its latest version. For this occasion they have dressed the entire body in the same color as the launch of the 4L in 1962. It is the Ile-de-France Blue color that you see in these images.

To enhance its design and bring it closer to the Rolland-Garros tennis balls, the Renault designers have given it the final touch. they dress him with fluorescent yellow accents on roof straps, shock absorbers, the logo of the brand or the emblems of the wheels. However, as will happen with the 5 Prototype it will not be available even for testing. Instead the brand has created a specific fleet which will be composed of 185 vehicles.
